Helicopter view of Earlsdon
This view is taken from overhead Earlsdon Avenue South, looking north-west. Our church is lower centre. On the opposite side of Albany Road is the Library, and behind that is Earlsdon Primary School. The large white van in Earlsdon Avenue North is parked on the railway bridge, and the line of the railway in its cutting may be seen running from centre right to upper left.
The building on the opposite side of Earlsdon Avenue South is the old "Ma Cooper's" pub - now owned by Wetherspoons. The building opposite that on Earlsdon Street was originally the Co-op.
This combination of buildings gave rise to the term "-ation Corner", since here you could find:
Salvation, Education, Co-operation, and Damnation !
