Rev'd Doreen Koffie-Williams   Rudaviro Mvundura (Youth Pastor)
I am Reverend Doreen Koffie-Williams and I am the minister for Earlsdon and Radford & Holbrooks Methodist Church. I divide my time between both churches, and I am also a representative minister in the Churches Together Earlsdon and Chapelfields fellowship.   My calling is to work with Young People and share Jesus Christ with them and enable them to grow in their faith. My first name, Rudaviro, translated from Shona into English means Faith, my life has been evidence of the power of faith and I wish to share this with the Young People as they develop their own testimonies. My calling was undoubtedly confirmed through dreams and visions.

Senior Church Steward. Originally a Lancashire girl, I have lived in Coventry for 30 years. I used to be a teacher, and now work as a counsellor for ‘Mind’. My interests are in learning about people and about life; I also enjoy baking cakes and reading. I have found I can trust God in the little things – and I am learning to trust in the big things too.   Church Steward. I arrived in Coventry 15 years ago with my family and have been worshipping at EMC since then. By day I’m a Maths teacher, but in the evenings I love to sing!

Church Steward. For 3 decades, I have been a team member working behind the scenes on church and church hall upkeep, enabling outreach to the community.  We look forward to welcoming new friends to our vibrant all-age church family. You too will find a warm welcome and support.   Church Steward. We were born in Coventry (I have a twin sister!).  Compassion and chaplaincy, people, prayer and praise, faith and flowers, Churches Together and Churches Without Walls are all in my heart.  I have been privileged to be part of Earlsdon Methodist Church for 29 years.

Planning your Visit

A Warm Hello

The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you know, beforehand, what to expect on a Sunday morning.

Where and When

We meet at the Church Building (details below) for our Sunday Service starting at 10.30am. For your first visit, we recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early to ensure you get a parking space and find somewhere to sit before the service begins. When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone on our Welcome Team.

Currently we are not offering tea, coffee and biscuits after the service due to the ongoing Covid-19 situation, but it is hoped we can re start soon.

Plan your journey:

Open Google Maps

Accessibility: There is wheelchair access, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it. Please let one of the Welcome Team know on your arrival and they will help you to get set up. There is a disabled toilet off the back of church.

Our Service

The main service begins at 10.30am, but when the music is led by our Worship Band, we have a few hymns &/or songs before the service starts. There is then a warm welcome from one of our Stewards. Church news & extra notices may also be given at this time. Our services are typically an hour long, with a mixture of hymns, prayers, bible readings and a sermon. One of our leaders will give the sermon that is bible based and that we can apply to our everyday life. We finish with a final worship song before a final prayer is said. (Sometimes there is an opportunity to receive prayer at the end of the service.)

Getting Connected

Small Groups

While Sundays are a great way to meet new people, it is often in smaller gatherings that you can really get to know someone. Being part of one of our small groups allows you to make new friends, share together and support each other. We have a variety of groups that meet throughout the week, morning, afternoons and evenings.

Our groups include:-

  • Tuesday Prayer Lunch
  • Wednesday Fellowship
  • Wednesday Word
  • Dayspring Steel Band
  • Wellspring Café
  • Prayer Shawl Ministry
Check out Small Groups and see if there’s one that you could join, or we can put you in touch with a small group leader who will be more than happy to invite you along to their group.
We hope that whoever you are, you will feel at home at our church.

Best Wishes
